Vision Needs Of the many vision disorders diagnosed, the most common are: astigmatism, myopia, hyperopia and presbyopia. Astigmatism, myopia, and hyperopia have been found to be hereditary. There is no known prevention. Presbyopia is progressive vision loss due to aging and also cannot be prevented.
Symptoms include blurred vision, eyestrain and headaches. In most cases, these conditions are corrected with contact lenses or glasses.
