Fitting CooperVision Soft Toric Lenses:
ToriTrackä is the most accurate method of fitting CooperVision soft Toric lenses. Follow the steps below or call CooperVision consultants at 1-800-341-2020 for assistance in obtaining the resultant contact lens prescription to order.
- Measure K readings, HVID, and Spectacle Rx
- Enter values into ToriTrackä or call Customer Service to obtain initial calculated Rx to order.
- Choose an appropriate lens from the ToriTrackä generated list of available toric lenses that meet the specific prescription requirements for the initial Rx.
- To refit or adjust the CooperVision Toric lens prescriptions enter Spectacle Rx, Contact Lens on Eye trial contact lens power and SCOR into ToriTrackä, or call customer service to obtain resultant contact lens Rx to order.
- Choose an appropriate toric contact lens from the ToriTrackä list of available products based on the resultant prescription.
ToriTrackä Fitting:
ToriTrackä is available for online use at www.coopervision.com, as a PC program, and in a Palm OS program downloadable from the CooperVision Calculator download site. It is also available through CooperVision customer service on CD at 1-800-341-2020
CooperVision recommends using ToriTrackä for precision soft toric lens fitting, we understand that not all contact lens practitioners have access to SCOR techniques and may need to use a subjective method of fitting such as LARS.
How ToriTrackä works:
ToriTrackä was designed to eliminate errors in estimating lens rotation.
ToriTrackä software precisely calculates the misalignment of the lens and automatically corrects misalignment using proven algorithms. By entering a patients spectacle prescription, trial contact lens powers on eye, and the over-refraction ToriTrackäcalculates a final contact lens to be ordered. Eliminating the subjective estimation of lens rotation and using the spectacle refraction as a measurable baseline produces a more precise fitting outcome for both initial and subsequent toric soft lens fitting.
The toric soft lens fitting method of sphero-cylinder over-refraction offers many advantages. It not only corrects for axis alignment of the lens but also for lens power differences due to vertexing errors, cylinder masking, tear lens effects and lens draping. LARS does not compensate for these fitting variables.
